moonrise kingdom

I cannot lie, I’m not consistently a Wes Anderson fan (two exceptions are The Darjeeling Limited and the following trailer) but this looks adorable. I love movies that look like they at one time actually happened, and children protagonists who can actually carry the weight of a feature-length film (also see: Super 8).

flip it, reverse it

I may not be the fanciest lady in the world but drinking hot chocolate and watching 13 going on 30 really gets me in the mood for a reverse french manicure. Plus, it’s not like I have long, luxurious nails or anything, so this just goes to show ‘normal nail’ ladies can have semi-fancy mani’s too. (Note the super fancy Sally Hansen for Rite Aid nail polish.)

I blame this largely on AnnaMarie Tendler, whose tumblr I have been following for many months with glee. She gives me hope that one day I will be this adorable.

lulz I look like Stefon.

holy crap free fonts

I can’t believe that I’ve never come across these guys before on my neverending quest for free amazing fonts.

The Lost Type Co-op has an amazing collection of free, high-quality (mostly) decorative fonts.

Some of my favorite free fonts, all of these are from FontSquirrel and ready for @font-face implementation at the drop of a hat! Bam!

Megalopolis Extra
I love the ligature opportunities with this guy. God bless OpenType!

Chunk Five
Probably my favorite all-time (maybe?) slab. Perfectly in-your-face!

Quicksand
Love the light, airy feel—plus the swashed ‘Q.’ Look out for the gorgeous dashed version. So easy to use in so many designs! The bold and bold-oblique versions were kind of an afterthought, but this dude shouldn’t be used in excess anyway.

Museo Slab
Museo is certainly growing in popularity within the design community, but I’m a fan of it’s slabbed version. Because I like slabs. Sue me.

St. Marie
I literally just noticed this guy now, but I love the thin slab! This is an elegant combination of Archer and Caecilia—both are some of my faves.

I finally got this crap up and running. It’s only been in the works for I DON’T KNOW—ETERNITY. But now it’s up and it’s magical and if you don’t like it you can suck it!

Anyway I will try to actually post more things here now. Like automatically important all the things I already post on assorted other things like Reddit, Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest. USEFUL, GUYS.

lolz forever,

I’m the coolest stalker in all the land you don’t even know.

I talk about stalking my fellow man while wearing Tina Fey glasses and showing off my newly receding hairline.

classiest of possible uses for league gothic

Chris Rock’s ending monologue Blame Game on Kanye West’s latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Definitely something I found on the internet. Definitely not something I made because I was bored. Totes inappropes.

The above typeface is League Gothic, available free from The League of Movable Type.

useful and totally not sad at all

All too useful for us single women living alone waiting to choke to death.

I can't find my phone

At least it’s pretty—Archer, my favorite! (om nom nom nom Hoefler & Frere-Jones)

Photo post for post-erity lol puns

This might be my favorite pretty thing right now:

Sometimes post a lot of random crap to push down older, more embarrassing posts in the queue. Is it working?

It was.
